Woodworksupply.co.uk is owned and operated by cousins Wayne Diedericks and Brian Thomas and is an offshoot of a very successful South African woodworking specialty store.
In 2016 Brian bought an interest in a 30 year old small community tool shop which he took online in South Africa 5 years ago and very quickly built it into one of the most successful tool stores in South Africa stocking all the worlds premium woodworking tools selling online and from their retail location in Cape Town. Brian sold his interest in Toolcraft.co.za in 2020 and started an online finishes business selling Osmo and Woodrepair in South Africa, www.woodworksupply.co.za
Wayne approached Brian about expanding operations to the UK and so began the WoodWorkSupply.co.uk journey. Learning about new markets, marketing codes, supply constraints etc etc.. Lots of fun and lots of learning.
So in the spirit of a true global business, we have Wayne on the ground in the UK seeing customers and dealing with our logistics and warehouse and Brian is based in Cape Town where he runs the online store, does the marketing and deals with procurement. Our customer service desk is in Swellendam in South Africa and is manned my Tobias Lochner aka "Guy" . Guy is a period furniture maker and a true craftsman.
Our business is built around quality and exceptional service. We will never sell a product we don't believe in or use ourselves. The products we bring to market might not always be the cheapest, but they will always be quality and good value. We are woodworkers ourselves and believe in putting tools and products into your hands.
